Carla MacLeod is a two-time Olympian who won a pair of gold medals with the Canadian Women’s National Hockey Team  at Turin 2006 and Vancouver 2010. A defenseman with Team Canada, MacLeod also competed at four IIHF World Women’s Hockey Championships, winning gold in 2007 to go with three silver medals in 2005, 2008 and 2009.  Since retiring from the National Team in September 2010, MacLeod has been able to transition into coaching. In 2014 she walked into the Opening Ceremonies of the Sochi Winter Games as the coach of Team Japan and she’ll be the first to tell you this is the coolest things she has done!

Teresa Spinelli has followed in her father’s footsteps and is active and involved in every part of the family business. In 2000, she took over as president of The Italian Centre Shop and has expanded to three locations in Edmonton and in 2015, the first location in Calgary.  Teresa has been a recipient of the Queen’s Jubilee Medal, Global’s Woman of Vision, and the Alberta Centennial Medal and has been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Women Entrepreneurs by Profit Magazine and one of Western Living Magazine’s Foodie’s of the year.

Kimberly Allison is known as a Social Media Fire Cracker!   She is the CEO & Director of MarketingRx, one of the leading Social Media Marketing Firms in Edmonton. Kimberly has 21 years of experience in media, and is dedicated to growing businesses through the power of conversational marketing.  Kimberly has a reputation of dancing into her talks; she energizes crowds with her enthusiasm and expertise.

Nancy Carlson anchors Global News Hour at 6, and Global News at 11, weeknights on Global Edmonton and will be the emcee for the evening. Nancy was born and raised in Edmonton. She has a Bachelor of Journalism with honours from the University of Regina and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta. Her career in broadcast journalism began at CHCA in Red Deer before moving on to Global Regina and then CTV Winnipeg. Each adventure has taught her something new about what’s important to people in different cities.
